Pintorarium 1968
On September 17, 1959, the artists Hundertwasser, Ernst Fuchs and Arnulf Rainer founded the “Pintorarium” in Vienna as a school of painting, but especially as a school of thought and life. Hundertwasser's contribution to the manifesto of the same name shows that this was one of the first attempts after the Second World War to question the linear thinking and to search for other paths. Hundertwasser formulates a drastic critique of the educational system, in which knowledge is copied and creativity and individuality are suppressed.
